Brits Want Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Stripped Of Their Titles Following Their Jaw-Dropping Interview, New Survey Reveals
Done with the royal family for good? Majority of Brits want Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to be stripped of their titles following their jaw-dropping interview with Oprah Winfrey, according to a new survey from the Daily Mail.
The poll found that 51 percent of Brits want them to be demoted, while 28 percent are against the move.
The outlet reported that only one in three thought the interview was the right thing to do, adding that they had let Queen Elizabeth II down. When asked if they believe Harry and Meghan after they claimed someone in the royal family was "concerned" over Archie's skin tone, in addition to not being protected by the institution, 52 percent of young people chose the Sussexes.
Meanwhile, 50 percent of people 45 and over said they believe the Queen and her family. Among older people, 39 percent believed the couple was not telling the truth, while 59 percent of younger people thought they were.
People of all ages agreed that the Palace and Harry and Meghan should kiss and make up.
When asked why Harry and Meghan moved to California, people said "they wanted the perks of royal life but not the responsibilities."
A few days after the interview, the 94-year-old responded to the allegations. “The following statement is issued by Buckingham Palace on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen,” the statement, which was shared on social media on Tuesday, March 9, began.
“The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Meghan and Harry. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”
In February, Meghan and Harry revealed they were no longer working members of the royal family.
Ahead of the Winfrey interview, the palace was "considering stripping Meghan and Prince Harry of all royal titles," a source exclusively told The Royal Observer.
Only time will tell what happens next!
