Tom Cruise Sings Praises of Prince William and Princess Kate at London Premiere Event
Tom Cruise believes that Prince William and Princess Kate are genuinely loving and caring people.
Prince William and Princess Kate recently attended the 73rd Royal Film Performance in London for the world premiere of the movie Digger, in support of the Film and TV Charity. Upon arrival, they were warmly greeted with hugs and posed for photos with close friends David Beckham and his sons, Romeo and Cruz. The royal couple also attended the red-carpet event to celebrate and support their longtime friend Tom Cruise for his new release. Cruise welcomed them enthusiastically, appreciating their esteemed presence. According to HELLO!, as Cruise greeted William with a respectful smile, he offered a brief two-word compliment: “Great jacket!”
For the star-studded occasion, William donned a stylish black tuxedo, which featured a black jacket worn over a crisp white-hued shirt with a collared neckline. This was paired with matching trousers, a statement bow tie, and sleek dress shoes. Cruise also greeted Middleton with a charming smile and a gentle kiss on the cheek. The Princess looked mesmerizing in a chic purple gown, crafted by Jenny Packham, that flowed gracefully as she walked. She accessorized the look with the Queen Mother’s stunning amethyst sautoir necklace, which took her look to the next level. Cruise was also photographed walking alongside the royal couple and even offered Kate a hand down the stairs, a gentlemanly moment that left fans swooning.
Even before their arrival at Leicester Square, Cruise sang praises of the Prince and Princess of Wales. While being interviewed by Entertainment Tonight, he was asked what his relationship with the royal couple meant to him, and the actor responded warmly, saying, “They are lovely people, very, very caring. It’s really nice that they are here with us tonight and share this with us.” He added, “I just really appreciate that. I have such respect for them!”
Beyond this, Cruise also called William and Middleton’s appearance for the premiere a "royal reunion.” After all, the Prince and Princess of Wales previously attended Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick premiere at Leicester Square in 2022, and they clearly enjoyed the chance to celebrate and support their close friend. Judging by Cruise’s high praise for the Waleses, the admiration is very much mutual. Having the future King and Queen by his side was more than just a red-carpet appearance; it was a gesture Cruise genuinely appreciated.
