Travis Kelce Reacts to Prince William Trying to Crop Him Out of Taylor Swift Selfie
Travis has reacted to William's recent confession, and while many would expect him to be annoyed, the athlete took it rather sportingly.
Prince William previously shared on The Graham Norton Show that he deliberately wanted to crop Travis Kelce out of the viral Taylor Swift selfie featuring himself, the pop star, and his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, during their 2024 meeting. Just a few days after the revelation, Kelce has reacted to the Prince, and while many might expect him to be annoyed, the athlete took it rather sportingly. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end added that he understood why William wanted a picture that he could keep forever with the pop star and his children.

During the October 28 episode of his New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, Travis responded to William’s confession on The Graham Norton Show. “I get it, man. I think we all get it,” Travis said. “I was just a boyfriend at that point. You know? I wasn’t her husband yet. You know? We don’t really know if this is gonna last, so it’s kinda just move out of the way real quick so we can keep this photo forever. Yeah. Hopefully, this doesn’t go south. Otherwise, this photo is not gonna be as good.”
On the New Heights podcast, Travis Kelce admitted, "I get it, man," laughing that since he and Taylor Swift were only newly dating at the time, Prince William naturally wanted a clean shot to keep forever. https://t.co/x4ZOfiD5Yd

Jason also agreed with his brother, calling William’s comment “very understandable.” The Kansas City Chiefs star added, “Shout out to Prince William, man,” showing he genuinely understood the situation from the royal's perspective. When the photograph was taken in June 2024, he and Swift were dating but had not announced their engagement. The singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end eventually got engaged in August 2025 before tying the knot on July 3, 2026. Wrapping up the segment, the brothers joked about editing the famous photograph to crop Travis out of the frame.

For the unversed, William spoke about the photo on The Graham Norton Show, sharing that it was taken backstage at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert. He added, "I wasn’t until recently. I hadn’t appreciated the significance—and actually, I was trying to move him out of the photo.” He continued, “But Travis kept coming back in, and I couldn’t work out why he kept coming back in. I was trying to move him out so it was just me and Taylor and the children.”
