Prince William and Prince George Win Fans Over With Unexpected Travel Choice During Barcelona Trip
A new video has now revealed an unexpected detail about how Prince William and his son, Prince George, travelled to Spain.
Prince William and Prince George recently gave royal fans another glimpse into their close father-son bond during their recent trip to Barcelona. However, it was not just their surprise football outing that caught people's attention. A new video has now revealed an unexpected detail about how the father and son travelled to Spain, and their choice has certainly got people talking.

Rather than taking a private jet, as members of the royal family often do when travelling abroad, William and George appeared to have opted for a much more ordinary way of getting to their destination. The two were reportedly spotted travelling on a commercial flight, with royal fans even suggesting that they were seated in economy class.
A video is currently going viral on X where the Prince of Wales and his eldest son were spotted on what appeared to be a British Airways flight. The footage showed William and George standing up from their seats as they prepared to leave the aircraft. While exact details of their seats are not known, according to onlookers and fans, the duo seemed to be travelling in economy rather than enjoying the privacy of first or business class.

Sharing the footage, the fan captioned, "Prince William and Prince George filmed flying on a commercial flight to go watch Aston Villa play against Barcelona." Soon fans started to hail William and George for their simplicity. A fan wrote, "No fuss, security somewhere but not obvious or overpowering, just a father and son." While another added, "And it even seems to have been Economy Class. The media should report on this because too many lies are being spread by the Sussex Squad about Prince William and Prince George flying privately."
A third added, "Prince George & Prince William seen flying commercial yet again, approving that this is a normal thing for the Royals when taking short flights to & from games; this is a very easy way to travel, it’s the normal way to travel, so many people travel to games like this!" Another fan also expressed their concern about the two heirs travelling together. They posted, "They’ve obvs changed the rules on the two heirs not being allowed to fly together, then?"

According to protocol, direct heirs are expected to travel on separate aircraft to avoid leaving the monarchy without a direct successor in the event of an accident. Although this is not an official rule, William previously sought permission from his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, to travel with his eldest son. In 2014, nine-month-old George accompanied his parents on their royal tour of Australia and New Zealand.
