Prince William Hilariously Rushes Princess Kate During Chat With Fans — but She Wasn’t Having It
It really seems the future Queen had no interest in being held back, not even by Prince William.
Prince William and Kate Middleton made their first official visit to the Isle of Bute in Scotland, stepping out as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in the town that gives their Scottish titles their name. The couple tried their hand at shinty with Bute Shinty Club, joined volunteers for a beach clean-up at Ettrick Bay, and stopped by The Anchor Tavern, a community-revived pub in Port Bannatyne.
While Middleton was very willing to stay and chat with all her fans, William seemed in a hurry. In fact, the Prince of Wales was actually filmed while doing so, according to Cosmopolitan. A fan reportedly also filmed the interaction as the Prince approached his wife, who was busy talking away, and hilariously pointed at his watch. He also jokingly exclaimed, “You’ve got to speed up, you’ve got to get all the way down there before you go!” This was followed by Middleton completely ignoring William and continuing with her conversation. In fact, Middleton reportedly continued to walk ahead and talk to others, who showed up and waited to meet and greet the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay. This move was met with applause. This was also followed by William standing beside her, smiling awkwardly as he waited for her, then walking away. In fact, this really wasn’t the first time that Middleton made her family wait. A similar incident occurred when Middleton and William took their kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, to attend the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow for the first time.
In a video shared by HELLO!, William was seen getting into the car with the children; however, Middleton was left behind because she got caught up chatting with the Olympic legend Sir Chris Hoy by the side of the road. She was making her family wait so she could check up on Hoy, who was diagnosed with terminal stage four prostate cancer in 2024. Beyond this, according to Marie Claire, the Princess has also admitted to loving long conversations during royal events.
