King Charles and Queen Camilla attended all five days of the Royal Ascot, making a grand entrance in a carriage procession. On the second day, June 18, Camilla, who was dressed in a green gown, was spotted standing next to her husband as they watched the races together. After photos from the event made the rounds on social media, one tender moment caught the attention of royal fans — Charles was seen gazing lovingly into Camilla’s eyes, a gesture that proved their love has stood the test of time.

On X (formerly Twitter), a royal watcher commented, "He still looks at her with so much love after all these years!" In a similar vein, another echoed, "I’m so happy for them! It’s obvious they love one another very much!" A netizen penned, "50 years later and he is still looking at his girl like this." As the comments poured in, a fan gushed, "This kind of love or nothing."

Royal watchers also could not stop gushing about Camilla's bright green outfit, which she paired with a Philip Treacy matching hat. Commenting on her ensemble, a fan opined, "The Queen looks FABULOUS in Emerald!" Another echoed, "The Queen has found a style that really suits her... older women don’t always need to wear beige and invisible. She’s fabulous." Meanwhile, a netizen penned, "The late Queen, the current Queen and the future Queen, have all been seen in this colour and it suits them beautifully."

Additionally, Camilla wore an emerald brooch, a treasured possession passed down by Queen Elizabeth II. As reported by GB News, she and Charles were hoping for better results for the rest of the week's races after their horse, Reaching High, finished ninth in the debut stakes. Prince William also joined the royal couple in the carriage procession after Kate Middleton unexpectedly pulled out of the event. Charles and Camilla eagerly watched from the racecourse as their sole runner on day one failed to deliver the £57,000 first-place prize. Royal Correspondent Joe Little told Town & Country magazine, "His [Charles] 100% attendance at this year’s Royal Ascot and his occasional visits to other UK courses, often with Queen Camilla, is proof indeed that he has caught the racing bug.”

Interestingly, Charles and Camilla first met in 1970 during a polo match and soon after, fell head over heels for each other. The pair, who married in a civil ceremony in April 2005, celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on April 9. In his first speech as King in 2023, Charles professed his undying love for his wife after 50 years of knowing each other. He said, "I count on the loving help of my darling wife, Camilla. In recognition of her loyal public service... she becomes my Queen Consort. I know she will bring to the demands of her new role the steadfast devotion to duty on which I have come to rely so much."
