King Charles marked his official birthday with grandeur and pageantry at Trooping the Color on June 14. In a break from tradition, the King opted to ride in a carriage with Queen Camilla instead of on horseback. Cameras capturing the royal parade caught Charles in a tense exchange with Camilla. Analyzing the footage, lip reader Jeremy Freeman revealed that the King referred to an unknown individual as a 'disgrace' and insisted that he was 'nothing like him.' Reports suggest the frosty remark may have been about Prince Andrew, who stepped down from public duties in May 2020.

Freeman, speaking to OK! magazine, claimed that Charles allegedly said, "Absolutely crazy, disgrace, absolutely extraordinary." He noted that at one point, the King also said, "Meanwhile, not like me. That's the difference between me and him." While the lip reader couldn't name who Charles was referring to, reports suggest that he was either talking about Andrew or his estranged son, Prince Harry.

As per the Daily Express, the timing of Charles's remarks was notable given the current tensions between him and Andrew concerning the fate of the Royal Lodge. Reports suggest that the King commissioned an investigation into Andrew's financial affairs to avoid any reckless moves brought about by financial constraints. According to The Sun, pressures have been mounting to kick Andrew out of the royal property, given his controversial past actions. A source spilled, "If he can find the money, then that is up to him, but if not, he will find that the King does not have unlimited patience." Reportedly, Charles is also said to have laid off his brother's ten-strong private security detail last year.

Andrew was allegedly not the only royal who bore the brunt of Charles's rude remarks on Trooping the Color. Speaking on behalf of Fruity King, lip reader Nicola Hickling delved into another blunt exchange between Camilla and Charles, where she believed he spoke about an 'issue' with Harry. She claimed that Camilla allegedly said, "Yes. What else did he want?" to which Charles reportedly replied, "He keeps dragging it all up, there seems to be another issue, right now." Nicola indicated that Camilla then questioned, "What are you going to do about it?" The monarch responded, "We will tackle it sooner or later, it's all very messy, and I will talk to Harry. That'll be fun." The Queen Consort allegedly agreed, "Oh yes, problematic."

Prince Andrew and Prince Harry, both former senior royals, stepped back from royal duties in 2019 and 2020, respectively. While Andrew was shown the door over his ties to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, Harry chose to walk away from the Firm, citing his family’s alleged mistreatment of his wife, Meghan Markle. As such, neither Andrew nor Harry was invited to take part in the King’s birthday parade, a privilege reserved for only working members of the royal family.
