Prince William Drops Hints About Attending The World's Most Talked About Wedding
During a recent radio show appearance, Prince William was asked whether he was invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding.
Royal weddings garner a lot of attention for members of the family coming together, while some of them make rare public appearances. Prince William has attended several royal weddings in his lifetime, but he might attend one in the United States very soon. Although it's not a royal wedding, a lot of people across the globe will be watching. When one of the world’s biggest pop stars gets married to a popular NFL player, it’s bound to be a spectacle, quite similar to a royal wedding. Of course, the wedding in question is that of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the one being talked about incessantly on social media.
On Friday, William appeared on the UK radio show, "Heart Breakfast," alongside hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden. During the conversation, Theakston hinted at the upcoming nuptials, saying, “We believe there is a big wedding happening this summer,” as Holden chimed in with excitement, “Oh yes! Have you got an invite?”
The question was certainly a loaded one, but William tackled it with the tact of a future king and a possible attendee of Swift and Kelce’s upcoming wedding. “No comment. I’m hoping, and I’m sure there might be an invitation around, but we’ll see,” he said as per PEOPLE. During an appearance on the Graham Norton Show last year, the singer-songwriter had hinted at having a big wedding. William being invited might not be as improbable as one might think, since he and the singer-songwriter go way back. The duo had sung Livin’ on a Prayer with Jon Bon Jovi during a 2013 gala dinner in the UK and seemingly still share a good bond. So, while the details of the grand wedding are tightly under wraps, it appears that there might be British royalty present after all.
It is no secret that William is the father of an ultimate Swiftie, his daughter Princess Charlotte. But now it seems his youngest son, Prince Louis, has also joined the club. During his recent radio show appearance, he was asked what song he would like to play for listeners. So, he suggested, “How about some Taylor Swift?”
There was a very special reason behind the specific request. It was a sweet nod to his kids, Charlotte and Louis. “Charlotte, my daughter, and Louis, to be fair, Charlotte, particularly, is obsessed with Taylor Swift. We went to see her on her Eras Tour, and it was amazing.” The show eventually played Opalite, a song from Swift’s 2025 album, "The Life of a Showgirl."
In 2024, the Prince of Wales celebrated his 42nd birthday at the Wembley show of the Eras Tour with Charlotte and Prince George. Swift had also posted an adorable selfie with them and Kelce to wish her "mate" on his birthday.
