Prince Harry Confirms First UK Appearances in London Amid Ongoing Royal Tensions

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently moved back to Britain with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Since returning, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have kept a low profile, generally staying out of the spotlight. However, Harry was recently spotted at the Tower Bridge Studios working on an undisclosed project. Meanwhile, Markle spent some time relaxing at the SOHO farmhouse, just outside of London, where she was also introduced to the senior staff, who expressed hope that the Duchess might become a regular visitor.
However, it seems Harry is finally ready to step back into the limelight. His return to public life will begin with his first official engagements in his homeland. According to recent reports by HELLO!, the Duke is confirmed to attend the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards. Furthermore, he will also attend the annual WellChild awards, scheduled to take place in London on September 21, 2026. As reported, “The inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards will celebrate individuals, organisations and communities who embody the resilience, service and unconquered spirit at the heart of the international Invictus Movement."
Furthermore, Harry will attend the official launch of INSPIRE, an education program backed by Invictus. The Duke explained in a recent statement, “It is always a privilege to be part of the WellChild Awards and to meet the extraordinary children, young people, families, and professionals whose courage and determination inspire us all.” He added, “This year feels particularly special as we celebrate 20 years of the WellChild Nurse programme; two decades of supporting thousands of children and families and helping them to live more of their lives at home.” His comments highlight just how meaningful these initiatives remain to the Duke of Sussex.
