According to reports, the Duchess of Sussex recently opened up about keeping her distance from her father to “protect” her children. Her comments have reportedly added fuel to the ongoing controversy, which escalated further when Saturday Night Live UK addressed the issue during its “Weekend Update” segment. Comedian Paddy Young said in the clip, “In royal news, it’s been a big 24 hours for Meghan Markle, whose dad has been accused of being an alleged pedophile, in another pathetic attempt to win over the British public.”
But that’s not all. Young further quipped, “In 2025, Thomas Markle moved to the Philippines in a sure sign of his innocence!” Comedian Ania Magliano also chimed in, saying, “If the allegations against Meghan Markle’s father are true and he is a pedophile, there is a genuine chance that Meghan could be considered Royal!” This exchange left the audience gasping and laughing. The clip was later circulated on social media with the caption, “@aniamagliano and @paddyisyoung with an update on the Markles. #SNLUK.”
