Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Should Get Royal Protection, Claims Royal Photographer
The long-time royal photographer recently gave his opinion on the Sussexes' security matter.
One can argue that no one really sees the royal family and the workings of the monarchy better than royal photographers. That's evident in the revelations long-time royal photographer Arthur Edwards has recently made. Along with sharing his memories and experiences working with the royals, he also weighed in on the ongoing security issue surrounding the Sussexes, especially Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The two kids had to change schools days after starting the UK term because of security concerns amid Prince Harry’s bid for state-funded protection in the country. Edwards believed that the two kids should get security. “They should get royal protection,” he said via PEOPLE, “because if they were kidnapped, there would be uproar.”
While the Sussexes remain estranged from the royal family, especially Prince William and Kate Middleton, the royal photographer believed that Archie and Lilibet should have spent time in the UK “playing with their cousins” and “getting to run around Balmoral and Windsor” instead of attending an “American school” in Montecito. However, as for family rifts, the two children have met their grandfather, King Charles, but they likely haven't met their uncle, aunt, and cousins in several years.

Although Edwards did not agree with the “vitriol” the Duke of Sussex seemingly “poured on his family” through his bombshell memoir, Spare, he is “glad” Harry and Meghan Markle have returned to the UK. The photographer stated, “He was a great star. He might not be the knight in shining armor at the moment, but knowing him, he’ll bounce back. People have got short memories.”
Edwards expressed hope that the couple will start working with the royal family. He believed that “things could change” if Harry and Markle heeded to certain things. “I think, hopefully, if he just stops writing books and Meghan stops making horrible jam, and they start working a bit for the family,” he said. It is unclear whether there are any plans for a new book or tell-all piece, but the Duchess of Sussex has been taking strides in her business, launching holiday collections and her first-ever Advent Calendar this year.

Currently, the Sussexes must be navigating the scandal surrounding the Duchess’s father, Thomas Markle. The drama began after the pair’s jubilant Nottingham outing earlier this month.
