Meghan Markle Makes First Outing Since UK Return — and It's Surprisingly Low-Key
Markle was spotted at the SOHO farmhouse, the rural outpost of the London private members’ club, based in north Oxfordshire.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly settled into their new home well as they begin their fresh start in the UK. Royal watchers who have been eager to learn more about their new beginnings have looked forward to their first public outing. According to royal expert Tom Sykes, Markle stepped out recently and kept things surprisingly low-key.
Markle was spotted at the SOHO farmhouse, the rural outpost of the London private members’ club, based in north Oxfordshire. She reportedly arrived early at 9 am and made her way in, all alone. Sykes explained how there was some expected ‘fanfare.’ Instead of sitting downstairs, she made her way to the relaxed area upstairs where children are not permitted, the ‘Comfy Farm’.
Once settled, Markle was also formally introduced to senior members of the staff. Allegedly, they hoped that the Duchess of Sussex would become a regular visitor to the SOHO farmhouse. Sykes explained, “Meghan is thought to be a member of the club. She has often been spotted at its venues, and her close friend Markus Anderson has spent many years as a senior executive at the company (he is now its chief relationship officer).”
Markle's choice of location for the first outing is very interesting. The Farmhouse is known for celebrities who want to keep a low profile. According to a source, early morning is the best time to visit as it is just 'absolutely lovely' when it isn’t busy. However, neither Markle nor her representatives have made an official statement. Sykes noted that they still refuse to officially confirm that she is living in the U.K.
