Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Step Out Together — With a Subtle Nod to Princess Diana
Royal fans and fashion critics were also mighty impressed with Meghan's outfit choice and especially her sapphire nod to Princess Diana.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were all smiles as they made a surprise appearance together in Canada on Friday evening. The couple stepped out for a glamorous night at the David Foster Foundation's 40th anniversary gala in Victoria. And while fans were delighted to see them together, given they rarely step out for events, royal fans and fashion critics were also mighty impressed with Markle's outfit choice and especially her sapphire nod to Princess Diana.
The Sussex couple attended the David Foster Foundation's star-studded 40th-anniversary gala to support their dear friend, Canadian-American record producer David Foster. The appearance was all the more notable as it was the couple's first since their trip back home, and to make it even more memorable, Markle opted for the choicest gown in her closet. The diva for the night made a stylish statement in a floor-length strapless navy gown by Canadian designer Greta Constantine.
The Greta Constantine creation featured a sleek, fitted silhouette and a simple one-shoulder neckline, giving the look an elegant yet edgy appeal. Markle styled the dress by wearing her hair up in a sleek bun and kept her makeup minimal with kohl-rimmed eyes and defined cheekbones. However, it was definitely her choice of jewelry that stole all the limelight and also added a meaningful touch to the look.
Markle for the day wore a pair of sapphire-and-diamond earrings that once belonged to her late mother-in-law, Diana. The striking earrings brought a touch of royal history to her otherwise modern look. Other than that, she kept it simple with just a pair of gold bracelets and her signature engagement ring. Harry, on the other hand, was also dressed sharply for the occasion in a classic black tuxedo with a crisp white shirt and bow tie. The couple posed together on the red carpet before joining their longtime friends Foster and Katharine McPhee.
Harry and Markle have maintained a close friendship with the couple for several years. Their relationship with music producer Foster had become even more intense since the couple moved to the US in 2020. The Victoria gala celebrated 40 years of the David Foster Foundation, which was founded by the Canadian music producer in 1986. The organization supports Canadian families whose children require life-saving organ transplants.
