Harry and Meghan Left Archie’s School in the Dark After ‘Disappearing Overnight,’ Residents Claim
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's Californian school was allegedly left blindsided and was not properly informed about their sudden move to the UK.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a low-key return to the UK last month along with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. According to the Daily Mail, a source close to the Sussexes said the move was long planned, as the Duke was concerned his children were missing out on family connections and wanted the best education for them as he looked back at his strong friendships from his days at Ludgrove and Eton.
Archie and Lilibet are believed to be enrolled in a British prep school, and instructions have been given to welcome them with "warmth and kindness". However, fresh reports suggest the Duke and Duchess left Montecito in such a hurry that they failed to properly inform the US school authorities about their relocation.
Interior designer Penny Bianchi, a resident of the popular Californian millionaire enclave, revealed that the Sussexes packed up and "disappeared overnight." She further disclosed that Archie and Lilibet's Californian school was left in the dark and was not informed about the sudden decision of their admission in an elite school in the UK. "My grandchildren go to the same school, and my son is an alumnus, so I get all my gossip from there," she told The Sun. "I know Archie goes to the school and that they didn’t even know they were leaving until everyone else found out," she said, adding. "They’ve been told, 'Don’t hold a place for him as he’s not coming back any time soon'. They were waiting a while for Archie to get into the school in England. He wasn’t accepted for ages, but the moment he was, they practically left the next day," Bianchi shared.
Bianchi further claimed that the Sussexes would not be missed in California, noting the school's dislike for their bodyguards who dropped off the children. She stated, "To be honest, nobody really liked them here very much. They aren’t popular." Sources close to the Sussexes claimed they had not informed the school for security reasons. Meanwhile, Bruce Johnston, a former Beach Boys member who resides near the Sussexes' Montecito home, expressed surprise at their sudden departure. Johnston believes Harry had returned to apologize to his brother William, who is preparing for kingship amid family concerns. He claimed, "But no one really knows why they left — apart from Oprah." Johnston described them overall as seemingly happy yet private, but noted that the presence of bodyguards was uneasy.
