Harry and Meghan Branded 'Modern-Day Gypsies' Amid Neighbor Row: 'They Got Nowhere to Go'

Comedian Michael Loftus tore apart the Sussexes, claiming that their constant moving was a part of their 'secret plan' to escape scrutiny.

Another day, another harsh criticism aimed at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are sadly no strangers to brickbats. Criticism seems to come in threes for these two. Most recently, comedian and writer Michael Loftus has joined the bandwagon of critics, suggesting that the Sussexes have become modern-day nomads, owing to their repeated spats with neighbors.

In an interview with Sky News Australia, Loftus criticized the Sussexes' constant moving, believing that they have nowhere left to hide. His comments were in response to a blistering report, which alleged that their neighbors in Montecito were actively avoiding them in light of their recent spat with Netflix. He said, "They [Harry and Markle] got nowhere to go. They started in Vancouver, and then, like, oh, people found out where we were living; we had to leave. Then they were in the UK. They got kicked out of there. They had to move to another place in the UK. Now in Montecito, it's like they're turning into weird modern-day gypsies."

Staying true to his profession, Loftus jokingly suggested that the Duchess get a 'crystal ball' to give her some clarity on her uncertain future. He continued, "Maybe that's their secret plan. Maybe Harry owns a lot of stock in a moving company, and he's just trying to keep everybody employed." Host Rita Panahi seemed to agree, expressing her own confusion about the Sussexes' next location. She added, "Perhaps Australia, because the last time they [Harry and Markle] were here, they got a wonderful reception. I don't think that will happen again. I think we were one of the first to figure them out."

The comedian's embarrassing takedown comes after a report by Page Six claimed that Harry and Markle were embroiled in a fresh controversy with their neighbors. A source spilled, "No one wants to be seen with them… It's just a growing awareness that they're takers with zero self-awareness. Everyone's exhausted by them." The insider stressed that this wasn't a new development, as the distance between the Sussexes and the other residents had been developing for years. Last year's reports have also argued that the Duke and Duchess were not very well-liked by their neighbors.

And on that note, in a recent discussion on Sky News Australia, GB News presenter Emily Carver joined Australian journalist Danica De Giorgio, who had a pointed nickname for the royal couple, subtly echoing their neighbors' sentiments. At one point during the conversation, De Giorgio addressed Harry and Markle's upcoming Australia tour, saying, "Mr. and Mrs. Grifter, they're coming to Australia next month. Not sure what we did to deserve this one and not sure why they would bother." To which Carver said that the couple should pay for their own trips, as they are clearly engaged in a mix of business and charitable work.
