Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are ‘Mindful’ of Not Overshadowing King Charles’ Caribbean Tour
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly don't want to distract from the royal schedule.
It has been a rather stormy few days for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, having to deal with Thomas Markle’s scandal. However, it is being reported that the pair will enjoy a quiet couple of weeks, and likely won’t plan any public engagements in the next fortnight for two reasons: their kids and King Charles’ Caribbean tour.

The monarch is currently on a grueling nine-day tour of the Caribbean, already surrounded by a lot of noise. An insider told The Times that Harry does not “set out” to “draw attention” from the monarchy and will be “mindful” in "planning his own activities" to not distract anyone from the royal tour, which has been organized on the UK government’s advice. The statement has come after the Sussexes were criticized for overshadowing Charles’ attendance at the historic Senedd opening in Wales with their Nottingham outing earlier this month.
The royal schedule in the coming days is rather packed. Soon after, the King concludes his Caribbean tour; Prince William will head to Mumbai, India, for the Earthshot Prize Awards. If speculation is correct, Kate Middleton also might join him on the trip. The source further added, "Harry doesn’t set out with an intention to try to pull focus or draw attention away from what his father is doing or what his brother is doing. That’s never his intention at all, but obviously for him to be able to mitigate against that, he does need to have decent foresight of what’s coming up." The Duke will "take into account" the royal diaries. Watch the video here!

Beyond respecting the royal calendar, Harry and Markle are also spending quality time with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who are on half-term holiday right now. This will likely be their first long school break after starting their new UK schools. Given the personal ordeal the family has been through recently, they will want to spend as much time together as possible.
Professionally, the Duchess may soon head to Australia as a guest judge on Junior MasterChef. She had previously guest-starred on the latest season of MasterChef Australia, when the Sussexes were on a four-day tour Down Under. While details about their next move are unconfirmed, it won’t be surprising if Harry and the kids decide to join her.

Charles arrived in the Bahamas on Tuesday and seemed to charm the crowds with his speech. Queen Camilla is expected to later join him on the tour.
