Sarah Ferguson's Whereabouts Finally Revealed Amid Fresh Career Setback

Sarah Ferguson's charity has officially closed, while fresh reports have revealed where the former Duchess of York has been spending her time.

Sarah Ferguson has managed to keep a low profile ever since her past ties with the disgraced Jeffrey Epstein resurfaced. A new report has finally hinted at her whereabouts. The update comes just as Fergie faces another setback — Sarah's Trust, the charity she founded, is officially shutting down.

The Trust has been taken off the UK charity register, according to the BBC. The organization had announced back in February that it would be shutting its doors "for the foreseeable future," but no explanation was given for the move. The signs of its closure have also appeared elsewhere. Companies House now lists the organization as "converted/closed," while both its official website and Instagram account are no longer active.

Founded by the former Duchess in 2020, the charity focused on backing local initiatives working to improve lives through humanitarian aid, environmental projects, hunger relief, and efforts aimed at breaking the cycle of severe poverty.

Fergie found herself back in the headlines after documents released in January brought renewed attention to her past friendship with Epstein. Amid the fallout, several charities cut ties with Ferguson after it came to light that she had once referred to Epstein as a "supreme friend" in a letter, despite having publicly distanced herself from him after his arrest.

Recent reports suggest Ferguson has spent the past few months shuffling between Austria and Switzerland after she was evicted from the Royal Lodge along with ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. She was first linked to the luxury MAYRLIFE Clinic in Altaussee, Austria, in March, where a week's stay reportedly starts at around $18,600 (£14,000). She later left the country before reaching the 90-day limit for time spent in the EU.

From there, she is said to have relocated to Verbier, Switzerland, where she reportedly stayed at her former partner Paddy McNally's $19.98 million (£15 million) chalet, Les Gais Lutins. The update comes after news broke that Paddy had died at the age of 88 following a long illness. They were in a relationship for three years, dating from 1982 until 1985.

McNally was ranked the 248th richest person in the U.K. on The Sunday Times Rich List in 2025, with a reported fortune of just under $800 million. Following news of his death, questions have naturally surfaced over whether Sarah could inherit any part of his estate. A source told The Sun, “Paddy always looked after Sarah, and at times over the past four decades she needed a lot of looking after. He never abandoned her in life and even in his final days allowed her safe sanctuary at his home in Verbier.”
