Prince William and Prince Harry Honor Princess Diana in an Unexpected Shared Moment
The estranged brothers are perhaps only united by their love for their late mother, Princess Diana.
Prince William and Prince Harry have been estranged for several years, so much so that they haven’t been on speaking terms. However, one thing still unites them, even amid their rift: their mother, Princess Diana. In a rare shared moment, the two brothers made a special move, albeit separately, in memory of their late mother.

William and Harry have always shown a relentless commitment to the Diana Award, the only charity that carries their mother’s name. It is also the only organization the estranged brothers share. This year, the special award will be given to 198 winners from 44 countries for their ongoing commitment to creating “positive change in their communities and beyond”. The two princes wrote separate letters to each winner, which they emailed to them.
The sweet move may not mean much for their strained relationship, but it definitely reminds us that their love for Diana outweighed whatever animosity might have existed between them. Incidentally, William and Harry’s last joint engagement was the unveiling of a statue honoring their mother at Kensington Palace on her 60th birth anniversary in 2021.

No developments have been reported in William and Harry’s tense relationship since the latter’s return to the UK earlier this year. However, fans remain hopeful the two brothers will unite next year for Diana’s 30th death anniversary in August. The Duke of Sussex is reportedly planning a documentary in memory of his mother. But concrete details are still under wraps. It is unclear whether William will participate, though the prospect seems bleak.
Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly do not expect an invitation to Christmas in Sandringham this year. A source claimed that spending the holidays with the royal family could be “too awkward and too difficult” for the couple. However, reports say Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, will join them for the festivities. Rumors have circulated that the Sussexes might return to the US for the holiday season, but nothing has been confirmed so far.

After a triumphant Nottingham outing, the Sussexes will travel to Brussels next week to open the Lost Screen Memorial at the European Parliament. This will be their first public appearance since allegations against Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, surfaced.
