King Charles and Queen Camilla to Mark Festival of Remembrance Ahead of Remembrance Sunday
King Charles and Queen Camilla will join veterans at the Festival of Remembrance as the Royal Family prepares for its annual November tributes.
November is a time of remembrance in the UK, with members of the Royal Family wearing red poppy pins throughout the month to pay tribute to fallen servicemen and women. The royals also take part in several commemorative events leading up to Remembrance Sunday. One key occasion is the annual Festival of Remembrance, where King Charles and Queen Camilla are expected to join veterans to honor those who served and sacrificed their lives.

The Festival of Remembrance will take place on November 7 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Organized by the Royal British Legion, the annual event brings together members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their families to honor those who have served and lost their lives in conflicts. This year's program will also look back at several important military anniversaries.
Key anniversaries being marked include 15 years since the end of Operation TELIC in Iraq, and the program will feature letters sent home by British personnel. The evening will also feature letters written by British personnel during their deployment. The program will include accounts from troops who served in Bosnia, where British forces took part in peace-support operations, as well as tributes marking 35 years since Operation GRANBY and Britain's involvement in the 1990-91 Gulf War.

The program will also include the traditional two-minute silence in tribute to those who lost their lives in service. Charles and Camilla will join other members of the Royal Family, including the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. Prince William and Princess Catherine are also reportedly expected to attend. BBC presenter Clive Myrie will host the evening, with performances from Alfie Boe, Tom Odell, Mica Paris, Rita Wilson and James Emmanuel.

Moreover, Charles will also lead the Royal Family at the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph on November 8, before Armistice Day is observed on November 11 to mark the anniversary of the 1918 armistice that ended fighting in the First World War.
