After her scandalous past ties with Jeffrey Epstein caught up to her, Sarah Ferguson has lost several of her close allies. This drastic shift has left her feeling increasingly isolated within royal circles, and insiders now say that the strain has pushed her relationship with Queen Camilla to its most fragile yet. Though Ferguson has not been an active working member of the royal fold for decades, she remained loosely connected to the family through her long and complicated bond with former husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. While those connections carried her through years of turbulence, things look very different now. Sources suggest she no longer feels protected, and the growing tension has made her a ‘ticking time bomb.’

As per the National Examiner, after Ferguson’s many scandals, Camilla has noticeably withdrawn from her. “Camilla has just blanked Sarah,” one source told the outlet, also adding, “Sarah is very hurt.” This distance between the two comes as a sharp contrast to the warmth the former Duchess of York expressed while speaking to The Sunday Times. She spoke fondly of the Queen Consort, saying, “I admire the extraordinary support she’s giving this country. I want to do as much for the queen as possible. I wish they’d ask me to do more.”

However, privately, those close to her say that she now feels abandoned when she needs the most support. According to the National Examiner source, “Sarah keeps saying Camilla owes her — she cannot believe she’s suddenly being treated like some problem to avoid,” also adding, “She says she stood by Camilla through the darkest years.” Their shared history makes the current rift even more striking. Despite the 66-year-old’s friendship with the late Princess Diana, she also managed to build a close relationship with the Queen Consort. “Camilla was like a sister to Sarah,” the insider said. “But she’s been pushed into a corner and that is making Sarah very dangerous.”

This warning has been a major point of concern among royal observers, who think the former Duchess of York might retaliate with stories she has collected over the years.  “She’s a ticking time bomb — and the angrier she gets, the more likely she is to go through with threats to take everyone down with her,” a source noted. “Sarah has enough stories to make everyone in the royal family very embarrassed, especially Charles and Camilla.”

Earlier reports from The Express also suggested that Ferguson’s frustration has reached a boiling point because of all the recent developments surrounding Royal Lodge. Host Mark Dolan had suggested that the 66-year-old feels deeply wronged and believes “she’s been thrown under the bus, that it was Andrew’s ill-advised relationship with the disgraced ex-financier, and therefore, she’s got the record to set straight.” Dolan argued that Ferguson needs the money, because of which she may be willing to sign a million-dollar deal to reveal her side of the story. If she does so, King Charles would have to face the greater risk. Dolan opined, “The big problem is for Charles because this whole scandal threatens to taint his entire reign as monarch.”
