After being stripped of her royal privileges, Sarah Ferguson is reportedly struggling to stay afloat as her financial resources dwindle. Now, cut off from the royal family's monetary support, she appears determined to keep the money flowing. Recent reports suggested that the former Duchess was considering a lucrative tell-all interview, one that would criticize the royals in exchange for a six-figure payout. Commenting on the rumors, royal expert Samara Gill argued that Ferguson had 'nothing to lose' for some cold, hard cash.

Speaking on The Sun's Royal Exclusive show, Gill said it would be inappropriate for the former Duchess to throw her family under the bus. She remarked, "She [Ferguson] needs the cash. It's as simple as that. Both she and Andrew have absolutely nothing to lose at this point." According to the expert, while Ferguson would likely avoid airing her dirty laundry with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, that courtesy would not extend to the royal family. She continued, "She probably won't even really talk about herself unless it's about her struggle. She might talk about other royal family members and throw them under the bus." Considering the alleged six-figure sum being floated for the interview, Gill believed that Ferguson would likely avoid discussing herself in detail.

Last week, it was reported that Ferguson was allegedly planning to sit down with Oprah Winfrey and talk about her infamous fall from grace. Her team has reportedly received significant bids from US channels, and is thinking carefully about how to thread the market. Commenting on her alleged money-making tactics, a source told The Sun, "It would also give her [Ferguson] the chance to spell out the fact she knew nothing about what Epstein and his associates were doing in terms of abusing girls." They claimed that the former Duchess was reportedly looking forward to frankly answering the questions, as she strongly believed "she's done nothing wrong, and been harshly treated."

After speculation of her alleged Winfrey interview hit the shelves, an insider revealed that the royal family was allegedly on their toes, fearing a ruthless outcome. They warned, "There's a danger of her [Ferguson] going rogue and saying things that could cause embarrassment for King Charles and Queen Camilla, or other members of the family." Sources close to the Yorks also stressed that the former Duchess was carefully threading to avoid another 'Maitlis scenario' (Andrew's Newsnight interview) that shattered her former husband's standing in the public eye.

Additionally, with the rest of Epstein's files soon to be made public, it's all the more dangerous for Mountbatten-Windsor and Ferguson, leaving them very little time to clear the air. Richard Fitzwilliams, a veteran commentator, told the Daily Express that the former Duchess might have already begun weighing her options. "If she [Ferguson] is after a fast buck, she might well go back on Oprah or choose another outlet. This would give her publicity," he said. He also noted that she had managed rebounds in the past, even after charities distanced themselves over her lies, but he doubts if the public appetite remains.
