Princess Kate Opens Up Her Adventurous Wish List After Fun Day Out With William — Watch
Even before her maiden trip to the Isle of Bute concluded, Kate was prepared for what she wanted to do on her next visit.
Princess Kate is known for her adventurous spirit, and recently it was on display when she and Prince William visited the Isle of Bute. The couple played shinty, drove a tractor, and helped with picking up litter. But it appeared that the Duchess of Rothesay, as she is known in the Highlands, still had more in her tank, as she revealed her adventurous wish list for her next Scottish tour.
Kate and William’s trip to the Isle of Bute last week marked their first visit to the area, and despite the packed schedule, the former was already excited for her next outing. While talking to fans gathered to meet them, she revealed what she would like to do next time she was there. “Next I’m going to go for a swim. Apparently, there’s a sauna that appears,” she could be heard saying in a viral Instagram video. The beloved royal was also interested in experiencing the “live music” scene.
The Duchess also gave a sweet shout-out to Princess Anne, who is also famous for her adventurous streak. “I know the Princess Royal comes sailing,” she said. “I can see why. She often shows us in her photographs.” Locals gave Kate some tips after hearing her wish list, and she exclaimed, “Oh really? That's amazing!”
There could be a reason why swimming in the Isle of Bute topped Kate’s wish list. Kate, who has tried her hand at almost every sport, loves cold swimming. She disclosed her extreme hobby during an appearance on Mike Tindall’s podcast, The Good, The Bad, and The Rugby, in 2023. “I absolutely love it,” she gushed, mentioning that the “colder” the water, the “better” she liked it. However, she added that her love for cold swimming worried her husband. “Slightly, to the point where William’s (saying), ‘You’re crazy,’ and it’s dark, and it’s raining. I will go and seek out cold water. I love it!” she said.
The Waleses’ visit to the Isle of Bute came as a breath of fresh air amid turbulent times for the royal family. But Kate was her usual chatty self, spending time talking and clicking selfies with fans. So much so that William had to hurry her up. But, of course, that didn't quite stop her, creating the most adorably amusing moment of the day.
After getting down and dirty on the Isle of Bute a few days ago, the Prince and Princess of Wales will turn on their glamor quotient this week as they are set to attend the Digger world premiere. The royal pair will reunite with Tom Cruise, who is starring in the upcoming film.
