Princess Eugenie Applauds Sarah Ferguson's Latest Environmental Victory: 'Well Done Mumma'
Princess Eugenie is one proud daughter! On Thursday, October 28, Sarah Ferguson announced that she came out on top in a recent environmental battle.
"We won! @BasingstokeGov councillors voted 9-1 to overturn plans for one of the largest warehouses in the UK which would have destroyed 67 ancient oak trees near my childhood home. They inspired my book The Enchanted Oak Tree and I am one of 103,000 people who signed a petition calling for a rethink. On the eve of the COP26 summit, this shows how local democracy can work and protect our precious natural environment. Developers may yet appeal but today we can celebrate," the red-headed beauty wrote via Instagram.
Of course, people were ecstatic to hear the news, including her youngest daughter, who wrote on her Instagram Story, "Well done, Mumma."

Other fans also praised the mom-of-two. One person wrote, "This is fantastic news! What a victory!" while another added, "The trees and all of the animals families they host say thank you. ❤️ 👏👏👏."
A third user added, "Wonderful news! Keep up the good fight."
Now that Eugenie is a mom to son August, she is outspoken about protecting the earth.
"Environment Day 2021!! Thank you world for giving us such a beautiful place to live. To mark this day I wanted to share some photos over the years (and more recent ones 👶🏻) that remind me how amazing our environment is and how we must always protect it," she wrote in June.
The two have a strong bond, which Ferguson doesn't take for granted.
"I'm self-deprecating and British. But [one thing] is I'm a really good mom," she told PEOPLE. "And I'm a good mom because, in growing up, when the girls used to say, 'Why can't we do that?' I would say, "Well, I've already made those mistakes. The world's press has written about my mistakes, so you don't need to make them now. So I've gone ahead of you to clear the way so that you can dream and grow and be who you are."
