Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix Party Pictures Keep Disappearing Mysteriously
Nearly all images of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Ted Sarandos' Netflix party have since been removed, except for a single photo.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have enjoyed a lot of time in the limelight ever since they walked out on the royal family. Things have been going well for them with much-talked-about interviews, books and deals with Netflix. But recently they attended an April 10th party hosted by Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos, and things didn't go as they had planned. The gathering, held in Montecito to celebrate the upcoming season of Beef, effectively squashed rumors of a rift between Sarandos and the Sussexes. However, in a surprising twist of events, nearly all images of Harry and Meghan have since been removed from stock sites, leaving just a single one in circulation.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined Sarandos and his wife, Nicole Avant, at their sprawling mansion in Montecito for the Beef Season 2 Tastemaker event. The deleted photos showed Markle laughing with Sarandos and embracing Avant. According to Page Six, the pictures were taken by a photographer who was on assignment for Getty, but Netflix asked the agency to pull her images the following morning. A source claimed that the streaming giant requested three other photos be removed as they were not of great quality. The only one that remains is a picture of Harry and Markle smiling beside Sarandos and Avant outside their home.
Another picture, where Markle can be seen in the background with singer Katy Perry, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Beef actors Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, and Charles Melton, remains on the site. Regardless of the deletion, the attendance of the Sussexes at the event shut down rumors of a fallout with Sarandos, especially after Variety published a scathing report claiming he joked about not taking Markle's phone calls without a lawyer present. The article also alleged that the Duchess often disconnected from Netflix meetings or switched off her Zoom camera if she was offended by something. It certainly didn't help when Sarandos and Netflix's Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, unfollowed Markle on Instagram.
Against that backdrop, during a press event, Bajaria dismissed reports of tension and urged people not to blindly believe everything that has been published. Commenting on Variety's allegation that Netflix and the Sussexes had a 'falling out,' she argued, "I would say don't believe whatever you read. Maybe we should all do a little fact-checking. But here's the thing: We [herself and Sarandos] still have a relationship with them [Harry and Markle], we have movies in development with them, we have an amazing doc with them, they have things in development on the TV and film side."
For those unversed, this isn't the first time that Harry and Markle's pictures have mysteriously disappeared from an event. Last November, the Sussexes were in attendance at Kris Jenner's grand 70th birthday party. However, speculation of a fallout arose when Kim Kardashian abruptly deleted photos of them from the Bond-themed bash from her Instagram. Initially staying quiet on the issue, Kardashian set the record straight on her sister Khloe's podcast, explaining that the couple asked for the images to be deleted out of respect for Remembrance Day, which closely followed the celebration.
