Sarah Ferguson's Whereabouts This Summer Revealed — And It's Not What You'd Expect

Keeping out of the public eye, Sarah Ferguson is reportedly using one ex-boyfriend's luxury estate as a quiet summer hideaway.

As fallout from the infamous Epstein scandal continues to overshadow the Royal Family, Sarah Ferguson appears to have found a quiet summer retreat far from the public eye. According to royal reporter Richard Kay, the former Duchess of York has been spending time at the luxurious Verbier estate of her late ex-boyfriend, Paddy McNally. Ferguson, who has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent months, reportedly remained close to McNally for decades, even after their romantic relationship ended years back.

Speaking on the Daily Mail's Palace Confidential, Kay suggested that Ferguson has been using McNally's Verbier property as a summer hideaway. Sharing insights into the disgraced royal's whereabouts, he noted, "I understand that Sarah has been spending time at Paddy's place in Verbier over the summer." The expert continued, "That makes sense because these places have a completely different vibe during the summer. They're not packed with Brits out there for skiing. You get a few middle-aged people who like walking in the hills, but it's much more laid-back and low-key. A perfect place to hide up."

For the unversed, the said property holds significant value for Fergie. She reportedly met McNally there in the early 1980s while working as a nanny for his two sons following the death of his wife. The pair went on to date for around three years despite their 22-year age gap. Although their relationship reportedly came to an end after Ferguson expressed a desire to marry and McNally resisted, the two remained close friends for decades to come.

Following the businessman's passing on July 22, speculation swirled over whether Ferguson might inherit a portion of his vast fortune. However, Kay downplayed those claims, suggesting McNally likely felt he had already done enough to support his former partner. "There's been a lot of talk that Paddy might have left her a slice of his $810 million—I am not sure that's actually going to happen," shared the expert.

Kay elaborated, "People like Paddy would have had all sorts of trusts and things in place to take care of inheritance tax and other requirements. I have always been led to believe that he wanted to leave a sizeable amount of his money to various charities." The expert further shared, "I also hear that he took the view that he had provided for her a great deal throughout her life."

For now, the claims about Ferguson's summer hideaway remain just that — claims. But if Kay is right, the peaceful Swiss retreat could explain why the former royal has been keeping such a low profile.
