Meghan Markle's MasterChef Crew 'Couldn't Wait for the Day to Be Over', Insiders Claim
Meghan Markle has made a guest appearance on MasterChef Australia, and insiders have alleged it caused a whirlwind of pure chaos for the production crew.
From royal engagements to television appearances, Meghan Markle’s visits have often sparked conversation. This happened to be true for her latest MasterChef Australia appearance, as well. The recent guest appearance is making headlines again, but this time it’s not because of what viewers saw on screen. After all, the supposed feel-good appearance ended up turning into pure chaos, laden with excessive gossip. Insiders spoke to Rob Shuter on his Naughty But Nice Substack regarding the same.
In fact, they also claimed that the Duchess of Sussex’s time on the popular cooking competition allegedly created serious tensions behind the scenes. In fact, the production staff reportedly felt relieved once filming wrapped up. They discussed just how Markle’s visit was far more challenging than the cheerful television segment actually suggested.
One of them explained, “She carried herself like she was Julia Roberts arriving to shoot a blockbuster.” They further added, “This is MasterChef Australia. The team has worked with award winners, world-famous chefs, and global stars. They’ve never experienced anything quite like this.”
While recent attention had focused on a moment when the beloved judge, Poh Ling Yeow, referred to Markle as 'MasterChef royalty' and said she apparently hated being called that, insiders claimed the incident was only a small part of what was seemingly happening backstage.
While talking about this, another insider reported, “By the end of the day, everyone was just praying for the taping to be over. People are talking about the ‘royalty’ comment, but that was the least of the crew’s concerns!” Despite these allegations, none of the reported backstage tensions were visible during the episode itself, all thanks to the hardworking crew. And Markle even took a “surprise” call from Prince Harry, which also drew mixed reactions from the audience.
Last but not least, another unnamed insider talked about how the crew felt when the shoot wrapped up. Apparently, that was exactly when the biggest reaction came through. They exclaimed, “There was an audible sigh of relief when Meghan finally wrapped!” Furthermore, another source said, “People couldn’t wait for the day to be over. Even now, mentioning her name around the production office makes some crew members tense up.” However, at the end of the day, neither Markle nor the representatives for MasterChef Australia have publicly responded to the latest supposed allegations yet.
