Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is facing renewed scrutiny after Jeffrey Epstein's former personal assistant testified that she accompanied the disgraced financier to a private dinner at Buckingham Palace and attended Princess Beatrice's 18th birthday celebration. She also identified him and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, as notable figures in Epstein's social circle, casting new light on his shady associations.
Kellen testified before the US House Oversight Committee on May 21, during which she named Mountbatten-Windsor and Ferguson as 'prominent individuals' in the disgraced financier's influential network. As per The Times, in a transcript released by the committee, she claimed, "Prince Andrew was at the New York house. We also went to Andrew's private apartment at Buckingham Palace for dinner. And we were at Princess Beatrice's party at Windsor Castle." Kellen has been named as one of the co-conspirators in Epstein's controversial plea deal, which saw him get a relatively low sentence for having indecent relations with minors in 2008.
On that note, Kellen alleged that she, too, was s------- a-------- by Epstein after being groomed as a vulnerable young woman. She told the authorities, "Jeffrey made sure I knew that defying him would cost me my life. He knew everyone in the highest echelons of society, and everyone catered to him. He knew everyone in the fashion industry, academics, finance, government, powerful world leaders, dictators, and everyone in between."
Kellen's testimony has attracted particular attention because several former law enforcement and prosecution officials believe she could hold information relevant to ongoing inquiries into Andrew's relationship with Epstein. According to The iPaper, former Scotland Yard royal protection chief Dai Davies and former chief crown prosecutor Nazir Afzal both suggested British investigators should consider speaking with Kellen due to her close proximity to Epstein's inner circle and long-standing knowledge of his network.
Needless to say, all of this is likely to renew attention on Andrew's long-scrutinized association with Epstein, which the former Duke has repeatedly denied involved wrongdoing. Kellen's account adds another layer to the ongoing public interest surrounding Epstein's powerful network, with Andrew once again finding himself at the center of uncomfortable questions about those past associations.
