Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is now reportedly under investigation over potential s** crime allegations tied to one of his royal residences. It has added another explosive layer to the widening backlash surrounding the disgraced royal. According to Sky News, detectives are to speak to a woman who claims she was taken to the former prince's home in Windsor “for s****l purposes.” The outlet reported that officers are also appealing for other potential Jeffrey Epstein survivors to come forward as part of what sources described as a “complex and potentially expanding inquiry” expected to continue for many months. Mountbatten-Windsor, despite remaining under heavy investigation, has strongly denied any wrongdoing related to such matters.
The report noted that police have already spoken to a range of witnesses since Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on his 66th birthday during an early morning raid on his Norfolk home three months ago in February 2026. The former Duke, who was once serving as a UK government trade envoy, was interviewed on suspicion of misconduct in public office. It happened after the release of the Epstein files in January by the US Department of Justice. According to the same outlet, the files allegedly suggested that the King’s brother passed sensitive government documents and commercial information to Epstein, the disgraced financier who was jailed for procuring a girl under 18 for p**********n. Yet investigators reportedly fear some survivors may hesitate to speak because they believe the investigation only concerns financial wrongdoing.
A source cited by the news outlet insisted that the inquiry goes far beyond alleged financial misconduct. They said, “People mistakenly think we are looking at finance-based crime, but that couldn't be further from the truth.” The source continued, “Misconduct in public office covers many others, including s*x offenses, fraud, corruption, perverting the course of justice, and others. We have a much broader view. We are investigating all aspects, and we will go where the evidence leads us.” Investigators are reportedly analyzing allegations that Epstein sent a non-British woman to the UK in 2010 for a s****l encounter with Andrew. However, the police have not interviewed her yet.
As the investigation deepens, authorities are also reportedly waiting to obtain unredacted Epstein files. As per other sources, such a thing could significantly help with the case. The offense of misconduct in public office is known to be difficult to prosecute, and officers are still consulting with the Crown Prosecution Service. They are doing so to determine whether Mountbatten-Windsor legally qualifies as a public officer under the statute. Yet, Thames Valley Police Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright stressed the investigation remains active and thorough.
As per his statement, Wright said, “Our misconduct in public office investigation is continuing. Our team of very experienced detectives is working meticulously through a significant amount of information that has come in from the public and other sources. We are committed to conducting a thorough investigation into all reasonable lines of inquiry, wherever they may lead.”
