Princess Marie is not afraid to get her hands dirty in the kitchen! The royal attended the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste event on Wednesday, September 29, in Copenhagen, Denmark, and it looked like she had the best time.

The brunette beauty donned a dark blue top with a matching skirt as she mingled and spoke during her outing.

Princess Marie looked like she was focusing on the grub!

"Today marks Denmark's national food waste day, and in this connection, Her Royal Highness Princess Marie participated this morning in the food waste day's opening event together with, among others, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Rasmus Prehn," a caption via Instagram read.

Yummy! Marie looked like she was busy cutting her food.

"The event was held in Timm Vladimir's Kitchen on Amager and this year had a special focus on activating young people in the fight against food waste," another note read. "In connection with the event, Her Royal Highness gave a speech in which the Princess focused on the role of children and young people in the fight against food waste."

"After the speech, Princess Marie visited a so-called 'Food Waste Cook Off,' where three young culinary guides competed to make the most creative dish out of the food that is typically wasted in Danish homes," the caption continued. "The culinary guides are trained by the organization Madkulturen with the aim of teaching their peers to act wisely and avoid food waste. Subsequently, the Princess presented a prize to the supervisor who had produced the most creative use of the food. The prize was a basic package of food, which can help reduce food waste in the supervisor's own kitchen."

"The date of Denmark's National Food Waste Day is the same as the UN's International Food Waste Day 'International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste,'" the note added.
