After accompanying their eldest son, Prince George, to Eton College, Princess Kate and Prince William delighted fans with a surprise joint appearance. The Prince and Princess of Wales recently traveled to Liverpool to visit Everton FC’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium, where they were joined by some well-appreciated sports stars to mark World Suicide Prevention Day. During the visit, William and Kate's Royal Foundation launched a new suicide prevention toolkit titled ‘On Your Side.’ Designed to help people recognize warning signs early, the initiative encourages people to have supportive conversations with at-risk individuals to prevent mental health struggles from reaching a crisis point.

For this occasion, Middleton chose to rewear her cornflower-blue tailored suit by celebrated designer Edeline Lee. The outfit featured a fitted, buttoned-up blazer with a collared neckline, worn over a white-hued top. She paired it with matching high-waisted flared trousers that accentuated the whole look. This shade of blue also has a very beautiful touch of royal history attached to it. According to Vogue, it was one of Princess Diana’s favorite colors. Known for her love of statement blazers and sharp tailoring, she even wore a similar shade in 1995 while dropping Prince William off at Eton College on his first day. On that day, the late princess had paired it with a fitted black dress, sheer stockings, and classy black heels.

Taking a page from Diana’s fashion handbook, Middleton proves that the iconic "People's Princess" style undoubtedly lives on. Her accessory choices were equally on point, as she opted for chunky gold jewelry, including a Cuban chain-link necklace to elevate the look, very much in line with her mother-in-law's styling approach. To complete the look, she added a deeply emotional touch by wearing her Issy Star earrings, a special pair gifted to the Princess of Wales by someone equally special, as reported by Town and Country Magazine.

The earrings were a gift from Sarah Renton, who presented them to Middleton at the Maidenhead Rugby Club in 2023. According to the report, “these earrings were made in tribute to Renton’s daughter, Issy, who died by suicide, and proceeds from them go to support a mental health charity.” Since then, Middleton has worn these earrings on multiple occasions. Choosing them for this specific visit, while launching a suicide prevention toolkit, was a deeply touching decision that highlights her thoughtful, understanding, and caring approach to her work. No wonder she is so widely admired!
