Prince William Shares Hilarious Glimpse Into Morning Drama With Charlotte and Louis
Prince William has revealed that one familiar parenting battle with Charlotte and Louis is still playing out behind closed doors.
Prince William might be next in line for the throne, but inside his home, he is still a regular father with regular dad problems. During a recent appearance, he revealed how mornings at the Wales household are more hectic than we imagined. William had a playful but stern message for his two youngest children after hinting that some familiar sibling drama is still very much regular in their home.
William came as a special guest on the Heart Breakfast show and gave us a glimpse of how school mornings usually go behind palace doors. The future King opened up that Charlotte and Louis may still be butting heads over the same old morning disagreements. “Charlotte and Louis, if you're listening, make sure you're on time, please. Make sure you're not fighting over who listens to what this morning,” William said. Watch the video here!
It is no secret that music plays a big role in mornings at the Wales household, with each of the children apparently keen to have their own favorites blasting before school. While William had previously hinted they had found a fair way to avoid the usual disagreements, it seems the battle over the playlist, which has long been part of the family routine, is still very much a regular happenstance.
Looking back on his 2021 appearance on Apple Fitness+'s Time to Walk, the Prince of Wales openly admitted that things could get surprisingly competitive at breakfast time, joking that, "Most mornings there's a massive fight between Charlotte and George as to what song is played in the morning."
However, these days, Prince George is boarding at Lambrook School ahead of enrolling in a boarding school for his secondary education. With George away, the morning rivalry seems to have shifted to his younger siblings instead. William previously revealed that he and Princess Kate tried to keep the peace with a simple system, and it was by taking turns so each child got their moment in charge of the playlist. As he put it, he had to "basically prioritize" one choice each day.
Still, even the most diplomatic family rules do not always guarantee total harmony. Judging by William's latest comments, the occasional disagreement may still be sneaking into the Wales morning routine. Perhaps his playful warning to Charlotte and Louis helped restore order, and that is assuming the pair were actually paying attention from home.
As of now, George, Charlotte, and Louis are enjoying their May half-term break. Once classes resume, George will be heading into his final stretch at Lambrook before wrapping up this chapter altogether. The young royal turns 13 in July and is expected to start at a new school in September. With speculation rising each day, the top two contenders for his next school are Eton College, where William studied, and Marlborough College, which is Kate's former school.
