Prince William Playfully Complains About Kate’s Bedroom Habit in Rare Glimpse Into Their Home Life
William was recently seen playfully grumbling about a certain habit of Kate that has completely taken over their royal bedroom.
Behind the closed doors of Adelaide Cottage and Forest Home, life for the Prince and Princess of Wales is a balancing act of royal duty, family life, and recovery. Prince William, in a recent radio interview with Heart Breakfast, offered a rare, affectionate glimpse into their private world, opening up about his immense pride in Princess Kate as she steps back into the spotlight. While he was full of praise for her resilience, he was also seen playfully grumbling about a certain habit that has completely taken over their royal bedroom.
William, during the interview, reflected on one of the toughest periods for their family, opening up about coping with Kate’s cancer diagnosis. He admitted that he and the children “couldn’t cope without her,” adding that watching her regain her strength and return to normal life has made him even prouder of his wife. Speaking with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, William also shared how Kate prepared for her first overseas visit to Italy after her diagnosis. “She wanted to do a lot of research; God knows how much time now looking through all the paperwork,” revealed the Prince.
Further in the interview, he added, “She’s a proper pro on early years, and most evenings I’m fighting to get past in the bedroom all the paperwork she’s got lined up to read.” William continued, “So I’m so pleased it went so well for her, and I think she came back buzzing.” Praising her resilience and her recent overseas tour, he divulged how very proud he is of her and also hailed her for balancing both her professional commitments and her responsibilities as a mother.
“She’s an amazing mum and an amazing wife, and literally our family couldn’t cope without her, so she’s been absolutely stunning,” shared the Prince. Talking about Kate’s future endeavors, he revealed, “She is kind of edging herself back into doing more and more of those trips, away trips like that take a lot out of you because you’re on the permanent receiving end the whole time, so we have to balance that and make sure she’s rested.”
In the wide-ranging interview, Prince William also spoke candidly about family life, joking about the school run, his love of dance music, and following his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s tradition of putting cream before jam on scones. He also revealed that Prince George of Wales occasionally boards at Lambrook School, marking the first time it has been publicly acknowledged that their firstborn sometimes stays overnight at school.
