Meghan Markle Shared Something Sweet About Archie and Lilibet ― But Fans Accuse Her of Copying Prince William

Meghan Markle posted a video promoting her lifestyle brand, As Ever, and candidly revealed her children's nicknames; however, fans dismissed it.

Meghan Markle is known for casually dropping promotional videos for her lifestyle brand, As Ever. She did so recently as well, candidly revealing her family's morning routine by sharing their favorite jam flavors. Clad in a white apron, Markle posed in a kitchen that didn't quite look like the Montecito mansion she shares with Prince Harry. But while the video was intended as a sweet nod to her children and their cute nicknames, it didn't take long for critics to weigh in, with many accusing the Duchess of mirroring Prince William's recent interview, where he shared his own family's relatable habits.

In a video posted on the official As Ever Instagram account, the Duchess said, "Everyone in my family has a different favorite. My husband loves the raspberry!" She then shared her children’s cute monikers, disclosing, "'Lil' – likes the strawberry best, while 'Arch' – loves both flavors, and I like the marmalade," she added.  According to the caption, each spread was inspired by the jams Markle has made in her own kitchen, demonstrating a well-balanced flavor approach.

However, royal fans failed to note the sweet nod to her kids and instead accused the Duchess of mirroring Prince William's interview in which he discussed his love for scones and jam like the late Queen Elizabeth II. "William gives a speech on how the queen liked her scones..what comes first, clotted cream or jam, and all of a sudden, Meghan puts this up on Instagram. She’s stalking the royals, wanting you to think she loves British things when the truth is, she needs the RF to sell her crap," one user pointed out, while another added, "Everything she does is designed to ensure she is talked about. She stalks the royals to copy them so people react. She simply cannot survive without media attention, and it’s time we stopped giving her what she wants."

"Jam spread first and then cream on top, and who puts both halves back together and eats a scone like a sandwich? The two halves are eaten separately. She's clueless," a third netizen mocked Markle's style of staging the decadent spread. "As an American, I can tell you that no one celebrates Memorial Day weekend by baking scones. We go to pool parties, grill outs, & parades, or we remember our fallen soldiers. We don’t eat scones," another individual criticized the Duchess's subtle garb to boost her product sales for Memorial Day.

Her latest video comes after William's live radio interview on Heart FM, where he revealed details about his family's daily eating habits. He described the "chaotic" school routine and how his family adored jam sandwiches as a quick snack, particularly Prince Louis. "There’s a lot of jam sandwiches taken in the car usually....Louis will leave jam fingerprints throughout the car, which is really helpful," the Prince had told the hosts.
