This July, Prince Harry will return to the UK, and for once, it won't be a solo endeavor. He is set to be accompanied by Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, for the trip, and things seem to be looking up. Although the trip hints at a potential reunion with King Charles, reports suggest that not everyone in the palace is welcoming the news, with one royal particularly unhappy about the impending visit.

Tom Sykes has revealed on his Substack, The Royalist, that Prince William is reportedly furious over Markle's expected return to the UK alongside Harry. According to the report, the Prince of Wales has even threatened to boycott Sandringham and skipped an important family gathering with Charles after learning about the planned visit.

Behind palace walls, a royal showdown is quietly brewing. Sykes claims that King Charles is actually financing the upcoming visit, eager for the chance to reunite with his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet. But the olive branch has infuriated Prince William. One insider disclosed that William will completely boycott Sandringham if Harry and Meghan are welcomed onto the grounds. Meanwhile, secret negotiations over the Sussexes' potential estate visit have allegedly been ironed out behind the scenes for weeks.

And there is another detail that is unlikely to go down well with William. The Sun recently reported that Charles will also be covering Harry and Markle's security costs during the visit. Sykes said that this “will infuriate Wiliam, who will see it as irrefutable evidence that his father, who he believes has been weak, has allowed himself to be emotionally blackmailed by Harry and Meghan into greenlighting them a VVIP visit.”

Moreover, a recent report by OK! suggests that Prince Harry has grown increasingly candid with his father regarding the pressures he and his wife have been facing behind the scenes. Financial strain appears to be part of that burden, with the couple's annual overhead estimated at a staggering $6 million. Between hefty mortgage payments, evolving business ventures, ongoing media projects, and their charitable commitments, the Sussexes are reportedly juggling a mountain of expensive responsibilities—costs that are only projected to rise.

An insider said, “Harry has become increasingly candid in the few conversations he is having on the phone with Charles and is no longer trying to put a brave face on the challenges he and Meghan are dealing with behind the scenes.”

Lines are being drawn behind palace walls. Sykes reports that Charles’s inner circle is defending the monarch, insisting he is simply overjoyed by the turnaround. One insider went so far as to invoke scripture, likening the reunion to the story of the Prodigal Son: “It’s a happy outcome for the king. The fatted calf will be slaughtered.” But William's camp is reportedly furious, believing the King is undermining his own successor and failing to show the heir to the throne the respect he deserves.
