Prince William Reportedly Wary of Reconciling With Harry Over Fears of Leaks, Expert Says
While the King remains hopeful about mending relationships, William reportedly believes the rifts are too deep to heal.
Prince William is apprehensive about a potential reconciliation with Prince Harry, fearing it could lead to renewed media attention. While there is speculation that they might come together for Princess Diana’s 30th death anniversary next year, William has declined to engage in any film projects, contrasting with Harry's plans to make his own. Despite the Duke recently expressing a desire to reunite, a royal expert suggests that any such move is unlikely to occur in the near future.

“There’s sibling disagreements; there are broken relationships between kids and their parents, kids and one parent,” Harry candidly expressed during his GQ interview, emphasizing reunion. “That continues to come up with me the whole time by people that I speak to, so I know how relatable it is. “With everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile. That’s the key point."
However, sources close to the Waleses claimed that William will not budge. “I can think of many reasons why Prince William would not wish to reconcile with his brother," royal expert Hugo Vickers explained in an exclusive with The Sun. "If you look back at all the things that his brother has said in his book and in the interviews, insults to Catherine, his wife, you know, it’s a very damaged relationship.”

The Duke's previous public comments about personal family issues may hinder reconciliation between him and his brother William. Concerns exist that Harry could exploit any private conversations for publicity. Vickers further emphasized that reconciliation requires a private, middle-ground approach, suggesting that while the King might facilitate this, William is unlikely to engage, and this stance is understandable.
The royal expert highlighted that concerns have been raised about Harry's reputation for discretion, suggesting that any private discussions could be leaked, which would be detrimental. His attempts to reconcile with his father and brother have not received any response from the Palace. While the King remains hopeful about mending relationships, William reportedly believes the rifts are too deep to heal.

“Yes, I think Prince William would be right to be worried. He doesn’t want to [air] his grievances in public. I mean, you quote to me that his team have apparently said that he’s not willing to reconcile," Vickers revealed. The royal expert concluded by stating that if any reconciliation must happen, then it must take place privately.
