Little Prince Makes a 'Big Noise': Prince William's Playful Crackdown on Louis' Rowdy New Hobby Revealed
Prince William, 42, revealed his youngest son Prince Louis' favorite new "big noise" hobby to rockers Mark Knopfler and Ronnie Wood at Wednesday, November 27's Tusk Wildlife Awards in London.
HRH shared, "My youngest is learning the drums, that’s why I spend my entire life with my fingers in my ears."
The future king also poignantly revealed, "I want my children to live in a world where swallows still migrate, gorillas still live in the cloud forests of Uganda and rhinos still roam the arid rangelands of Namibia."
The ceremony rewards leaders in worldwide conservation efforts, which later saw its founder and president Charlie Mayhew, say about William, "For many years, the prince has been at the forefront of highlighting the catastrophic impact of the illegal wildlife trade and the challenges facing the natural world. Through his patronage of organizations such as Tusk, he has been extremely effective at using his status and convening power for the greater good of conservation, a topic that he is hugely knowledgeable on."
Louis has already become known as a "national treasure" in Britain, and this designation was given to His Royal Highness due in part to his "expected antics" at large royal events. Meanwhile, his elder brother George, 11, is known as "the quiet one."
Louis and George are also making headlines for something beyond their adorable antics and cheeky grins — they're reportedly growing closer than ever, creating a bond that is both heartwarming and unmistakably strong.
While the world is accustomed to seeing these young royals in their picture-perfect family portraits and official engagements, a delightful transformation has been taking place behind palace doors. Sources close to the family reveal that George and Louis, despite their age gap, have been bonding in recent months, sparking a special connection that has everyone — from family to fans — beaming with joy.
Royal insiders suggest that George, the future king, has taken on a more protective role as an older brother, embracing his duty with a gentle and caring approach that mirrors his father.
During his keynote speech of the ceremony, the heir to the throne stated, "Tonight is a reminder that our planet continues to face terrifying environmental concerns from climate change and habitat destruction to the exploitation of natural resources and an alarming downward trend in global biodiversity. Rainforests the size of countries are disappearing. And one million species are at risk of extinction mostly due to human activity. Now is the time to support those globally who work to prevent future generations from becoming disconnected from nature, we must invest in the natural world around us and understand the value it has for us all, both now and in the future."
