Neve Campbell Reveals Prince Harry's 'Awkward' Childhood Bedroom Decor: 'It Was Very Odd'
Neve Campbell spoke fondly of meeting Prince Harry, revealing that he also chatted about the late Queen Elizabeth.
Although Prince Harry now lives in a lavish $29 million Montecito mansion across the pond, he spent his childhood in the much more luxurious Kensington Palace. And despite the grandeur of royal life, he was, just like any other teenager, smitten by actress Neve Campbell, even hanging her photo on his bedroom wall. Campbell later shared the charming revelation on The Jonathan Ross Show, recalling that the Duke of Sussex confessed it to her when they met at a friend's birthday party years later.
As per HELLO!, during the interview, Campbell, who's best known for her role in the Scream franchise, told host Jonathan Ross, "I went to a friend's birthday party, and someone said, 'There's Harry'. I said, 'Harry who?' (They said) 'Prince Harry.' We did have a chat. He told me that he had a poster of me on his wall when he was a child." Recalling the 'awkwardness' she felt at the time, she continued, "I don't know if that was a line. It could have been a line. We had a dance, and we had a nice time. We didn't exchange numbers or anything."
Speaking fondly about her conversation with the Prince, Campbell said that Harry was 'really lovely.' "He started talking about his grandmother, and we were chatting, and then I realized who he was talking about, and it was very odd." Harry was likely referring to the bedroom walls in Apartments 8 and 9 in Kensington Palace, where his parents, then-Prince Charles and Princess Diana, moved after their wedding. He has since spoken about the warmth and humor that filled their home, even as his parents' marriage publicly unraveled. After Diana died in 1997, the Palace transformed into a site of profound loss.
For the Palace interiors, the late Diana is said to have brought in renowned interior designer Dudley Poplak to help transform it into a space that felt both elegant and welcoming for her young sons. The redesign blended royal grandeur with warmth, creating a comfortable family home rather than a formal residence. Upstairs, Prince William and Harry had a vast playroom designed by high-end children's interiors firm Dragons of Walton Street, along with their bedrooms. The apartment also included a spacious drawing room and a sitting room that doubled as Diana's workspace.
As for Harry's fan boy moment, he is also said to be enamored by singer and actress Jennifer Lopez. According to OK! magazine, the Duke of Sussex has been reaching out to Lopez as part of his efforts to expand his celebrity network and boost visibility for his charitable work. Sources say Harry sees Hollywood support, especially from a high-profile figure like Lopez, as valuable for causes like the Invictus Games. Their renewed connection stems from their previous meetings, which have reportedly made Meghan Markle jealous.
