In recent years, Meghan Markle has used her As Ever platform to share her personal style and build her growing lifestyle brand. From casual hosting tips and recipes to new product launches, the Duchess has transformed her Instagram into a curated window into her aesthetic. However, her latest appearance caught everyone's eye for a different reason: while promoting her new collection, she also appeared to weave subtle fashion nods to Princess Diana and Princess Kate into her outfit.

Markle channeled both Diana and Kate in a single outfit for a new As Ever Instagram video shared on June 11. Promoting her brand's upcoming wine lineup—which includes a Sauvignon Blanc, Brut, and Rosé—the Duchess modeled a chic, monochromatic look: a white Celine blazer, a CO tank top, matching cropped trousers, and a contrasting brown suede belt. The aesthetic immediately reminded royal fans of an iconic 1994 look worn by Princess Diana in London. Meghan even accessorized with Diana's own gold Cartier Tank watch, a cherished heirloom from Prince Harry. Watch the video here!.

The second royal nod came down to her choice of footwear. The Duchess completed her look with suede "Catherine" mules by Veronica Beard—a subtle name drop that royal fans immediately linked to Princess Kate (Catherine Elizabeth Middleton). This marks the second time this month that Meghan’s wardrobe has echoed the Princess of Wales. On June 1, she appeared in an As Ever video wearing a classic pussy-bow blouse, a silhouette famously favored by both Kate and Princess Diana. In that same post, Meghan offered some of her signature hosting advice, writing: "Light candles before guests arrive so the room already feels warm when everyone walks through the door. Place them at different heights and keep the scent subtle so it blends naturally into the room."

The similarities have extended beyond a single look. Earlier in 2025, Markle was also compared to both Diana and Kate after stepping out at the Invictus Games in Vancouver wearing a tailored blazer that drew parallels with the classic ‘Sloane Ranger’ aesthetic. According to InStyle, Kate previously embraced the same polished style during an official visit to PACT. She wore a Smythe blazer paired with an all-black ensemble. Diana, meanwhile, became one of the most famous ‘Sloane Rangers’ of her generation and was frequently photographed in elegant blazers throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

Be it intentional or coincidental, the Duchess’s latest appearance was telling of how the fashion legacies of both Diana and Kate continue to shape royal style conversations. It again proved that some royal influences remain timeless across generations.
