Meghan Markle Sends Prince Harry A Sweet Message After His Solo Appearance At The WellChild Awards
Meghan Markle may have been absent from most Prince Harry's UK events but she recently made up for it with a sweet tribute.
On Monday, Prince Harry made a solo appearance at the WellChild Awards in London. While he must have missed the 'captain' of his soul, Meghan Markle, by his side, she made up for her absence by posting a sweet video of her husband on her Instagram story on Tuesday. The video was a compilation of Harry and the awards night’s beautiful moments, set to the acoustic live version of I Believe by Sam Garrett.
Before the awards ceremony, the Duke of Sussex personally met and interacted with all the winners, then opened the night with an inspirational speech. Markle’s video captured all these heartwarming moments and let her chosen song do the talking. “Hope you're ready for what I'm about to say. You are love, yeah, you are brave,” the lyrics went, with the concluding clip playing to the lyric, “We will make a difference, I believe.”
This is not the first time that Markle has chosen music to express her feelings on social media. She had selected Paula Abdul’s Forever Your Girl to post her wedding pictures to mark her eighth anniversary, and picked Wilson Pickett’s Land of 1000 Dances for the pictures from their wedding reception. The couple had performed their first dance to the latter. Most recently, she posted a birthday video for Harry to The Hound + The Fox’s rendition of Simply the Best. Interestingly, the song, originally sung by Tina Turner, was also one of Princess Diana’s favorite songs. She played it while dropping Prince William and Harry off at their boarding schools to help ease their anxiety. Wonder if the Duchess of Sussex wanted to recreate a similar feeling for her husband after the family’s return to the UK.
The Duke seemingly jumped into his charitable endeavors only a few weeks after returning to his home country. Last week, he made his debut public appearance in London at the Invictus Games Spirit Awards and Gala. Then he attended the launch of the INSPIRE: Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 education program, where he played a game of pickleball. Most recently, he marked his appearance at the WellChild Awards. However, all his appearances so far have been solo.
While the fans await the Duchess’s first high-profile appearance in the UK in six years, she has been spotted in public a couple of times. She was first seen quietly visiting the SOHO Farmhouse, and most recently she seemingly met with popular comedian Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, at The Three Horseshoes Pub in Burford, Oxfordshire. Interestingly, the couple resides in Montecito, just like the Sussexes, and reportedly splits time between their Californian abode and the UK. Something that Harry and Markle may be looking to do going forward. Fans would certainly be curious if there was any giving of tips and advice to the new UK returnee.
Meanwhile, there has been widespread speculation that Markle is reviving her acting career. There has been much intrigue surrounding her possible role in The Gentlemen season 3, and she has reportedly received several other acting offers.
