Prince Harry Makes a Secret Solo Visit to New York Ahead of His Big Outing With Meghan Markle
The Duke of Sussex was spotted outside a luxurious hotel in Midtown Manhattan.
On Tuesday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will travel to Brussels to open the Lost Screen Memorial in the European Parliament, marking their first international outing after returning to the UK. However, before the major milestone, the Duke of Sussex made a secret solo visit to New York this week. He was spotted outside Lotte New York Palace in Midtown Manhattan on Monday.

While the exact reason for Harry’s quick trip across the pond is unknown, he was seen chatting with an individual inside the gold room. However, he is reportedly traveling for business. “The Duke had a number of meetings in New York focused on new business opportunities and partnerships. Further details will be shared in due course,” a spokesperson told Hello!
This is certainly not his first visit to the Big Apple since returning to his home country. He had crossed the Atlantic in September to speak at the Clinton Global Initiative on behalf of his sustainable travel initiative, Travalyst. However, this time, his trip to New York was short, as he returned to London on Wednesday. The Duke delivered a keynote address at the Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards in the Painted Hall of the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. During his speech, he made the exciting announcement that Wanderlust had joined Travalyst.

The Sussexes have had a busy few weeks. Just as the family had seemingly settled into their new environment, Harry and Markle were hit with disturbing allegations against the latter’s father, Thomas Markle, and the resulting scandal. Fortunately, the couple was reportedly already outside the UK with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, for their half-term breaks when the news broke.
However, despite the ordeal they are grappling with in their personal lives, the couple has continued their work. They opened the Lost Screen Memorial, in honor of the children who lost their lives due to online harm, in New York last year. They moved it to Geneva earlier this year, where the Duchess of Sussex gave a keynote speech. Now, it will be moved to Brussels. Markle will also soon be traveling to Australia to be the guest judge on Junior MasterChef. It is unclear whether the family will join her Down Under.

As for the holidays, Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, will likely join them in the UK for Christmas. The Sussexes reportedly do not expect an invitation to Sandringham.
