Prince Harry has been making several public appearances around the UK since moving back to the country. However, the Duke and Meghan Markle have also found themselves dealing with the disturbing allegations surrounding Thomas Markle Sr. Now, Harry has stepped out again, making his first appearance since the scandal came to light.

Harry’s latest appearance was at the Wanderlust Travel Media Awards, held at the Old Royal Naval College in London. Attending in his capacity as founder of Travalyst, he delivered a keynote speech at the event. He launched the not-for-profit organization in 2019 with the aim of making the travel industry more sustainable and encouraging more environmentally responsible tourism.
During the speech, he said, “I started Travalyst because I believe deeply in travel as a force for good.”
However, Harry's work with Travalyst has not been without criticism. Both he and Markle have faced accusations of hypocrisy over their use of private jets, with critics questioning how their travel choices fit with the Duke's push for more sustainable tourism.

Harry addressed the issue during a speech in Amsterdam, explaining that there were times when he needed to prioritize his family's safety. “I spend 99% of my life travelling the world by commercial. Occasionally, there needs to be an opportunity based on a unique circumstance to ensure that my family are safe,” the Duke explained.
With Archie and Lilibet on their school break, Harry and Meghan decided to spend some time away as a family. They had already left the UK when the allegations against Thomas Markle Sr. came out but have reportedly been kept in the loop about the developments.
The allegations against Markle Sr. came to light after his son, Thomas Markle Jr., reportedly contacted the authorities over material he claimed to have found at their home in Cebu, Philippines. Markle Jr. is said to have handed over four boxes of potential evidence to the police as part of the investigation.

There is also a new development in the US, where the FBI has reportedly been alerted to two storage units in Los Angeles that Markle Sr. rented to keep personal belongings, including items from Markle's younger years. Meanwhile, Philippine police are continuing to examine electronic devices recovered during their investigation after reportedly finding files containing child sexual abuse material. No formal charges have been filed against Markle Sr. so far.
