Kylie Kelce Calls Kate Middleton an 'Absolute Boss' — and Hopes She'll Do What Prince William Did
Kylie Kelce has extended an offer to Kate Middleton to appear on her podcast after one moment caught her eye.
Kate Middleton has been very sporty since her younger days. In prep school, she captained the field hockey team and recently returned to her roots by playing shinty on a trip to the Isle of Bute. While the images of the grinning Princess of Wales hitting the ball were adorable, they also caught the eye of a fellow field hockey player from across the Atlantic. None other than Kylie Kelce.
On Thursday, Kylie discussed Middleton’s latest Scottish outing in an episode of her podcast, Not Gonna Lie. “Princess Kate just reminded everyone that she’s still an absolute boss at field hockey,” she said before pulling up the clip of the beloved royal playing shinty. Kylie said the Princess of Wales looked “beautiful” and stated that although she knew the royal was playing shinty, and not field hockey, the moment was a win for the latter. “Where do you think she got that skill? Yeah, that's right. She's a field hockey player,” she countered.
As a former field hockey player and now a coach, Kylie passionately advocates for the sport and, for that reason, she also invited fellow field hockey player Middleton to her podcast. “Here's the thing about the sport of field hockey. We all have to stick together,” she said. “So, Princess Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, if you ever wanted to come on and chitchat about some field hockey and maybe kids…I don't know.”
Middleton appearing on Kylie’s podcast is not entirely improbable, as Prince William “chitchatted” with her husband Jason Kelce and brother-in-law, Travis Kelce, on their podcast, The New Heights Show, in July this year. Mentioning that they had a “couple things in common,” the field hockey player suggested that since the Prince of Wales had appeared on the other podcast, the princess could appear on hers. “We'd love to have you. The topic of kids created an amusing moment when William appeared on Jason and Travis’s podcast. The three of them had met before at Taylor Swift’s London concert, and while discussing the interaction, the former Eagles star said that, being a dad to four girls, he was really impressed with Princess Charlotte. The Prince of Wales instantly joked, “Congratulations! Having four daughters. I don't know how you do that.” Kylie and Middleton, who both love a good laugh, might also have some funny anecdotes to share as devoted mothers.
Fans would certainly hope that the Princess of Wales takes up Kylie on her offer. But in the meantime, the beloved royal has been busy with public engagements and even attended the Digger world premiere earlier this week.
