King Charles Removes Harry and Meghan’s Wedding Photo From Highgrove Days Before Their Anniversary

The usually calm King Charles is reportedly stirring things up through a ‘deliberate’ move. So, what did the King do this time?

Eight years ago, Prince Harry tied the knot with commoner Meghan Markle in a grand royal wedding, and since then, a lot has changed within the royal family. As the couple celebrates their eighth wedding anniversary miles away from the UK, controversy seems to have found its way back to them once again. This time, the situation appears even more shocking, with the usually calm King Charles reportedly stirring things up through a ‘deliberate’ move. So, what did the King do this time?

Charles has always had a soft spot for his kids, and we have seen how, even years after Harry and Markle left the UK after stepping down from their royal duties, he never removed their photos and belongings from the royal palaces. However, things are now changing. In a recent turn of events, royal photographer Chris Jackson hosted an event at the Highgrove estate. From snippets shared online, eagle-eyed netizens noticed that a photo of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which used to sit on King Charles's table, is now gone.

The table now has only two photos on display, one featuring the monarch standing between his two sons in a throwback photo and another of him gleefully holding his grandchild, Prince Louis, in his arms. While Harry's presence is still prevalent in the royal household, the King has seemingly taken a step back from having any reminiscences of Markle in his home. While the photo could have been moved to any other place in the palace, the jumble-up did not fit right with many, especially as the move surfaced right before Harry and Markle's eighth wedding anniversary.

Former Royal butler Grant Harrold revealed that it was no one else but the King who moved Harry and Markle's photos from his table. So does it signal Charles' further deteriorating views about the Sussexes? "The only person who can move pictures or move things around is the King himself. So it has to be the King’s decision," added Harrold during a conversation with The Royals Uncensored podcast. He also clarified that the King removing the photo was a 'deliberate' move.

While having his and Markle's wedding photos removed might seem like a direct attack from the King on Harry, it doesn't seem to be the case, as the monarch still has a photo with both his sons on the table. Moreover, apart from that specific photo, he also switched things up by removing a few other frames, including the Coronation photograph and Louis' christening family portrait.

Seemingly identifying an underlying issue, TalkTV host Samara Gill shared, "I think now, because of all the drama and chaos that they've been causing Charles, especially while he was battling with cancer, I think this is sort of endgame now." She continued, "Look, I mean, removing a royal photo in royal life is sort of a declaration of war, I would say."
