King Charles has been battling cancer for more than a year now, but thanks to the female forces around him, he always has the support he needs. Last year, Buckingham Palace announced the monarch’s cancer diagnosis, keeping details under wraps. As he has been seeking treatment for the same, a royal expert has revealed how the four ‘feisty’ females in his life, including Queen Camilla, have had his back.

According to royal expert Jennie Bond, the Queen consort, Kate Middleton, and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, and Princess Anne have played an important role in Charles’ reign. According to the Scottish Daily Express, the expert noted how Charles comes from a line of very strong women. She said, "Much has been made of Charles's sometimes abrasive relationship with his macho father, but he has also spent much of his life surrounded by strong women, starting with his grandmother, whom he adored, right through to his mother, his sister, and his wife.” The expert believes that Charles feels ‘lucky’ to be surrounded by these powerful women. “I think he feels very lucky to have these feisty females around him. And now he also has the support of the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Edinburgh — two very popular members of the royal family.

Bond asserted that Camilla has been by Charles’s side throughout his cancer battle and supported him at every step. She stressed, “Camilla gives him everything. Love, loyalty, indulgence, calm, and laughter. She supports him in everything he does: each speech he makes, each joint official visit, each trip round the garden to see how things are growing... They share interests and humor, but she also gives him (and herself) a bit of space from time to time, and she stays in her own house near Highgrove. That's a sign of a truly comfortable and strong relationship.”

Similarly, Princess Anne has also been nothing but supportive of her elder brother. The bond between the two siblings has only strengthened over time, with the Princess Royal now the monarch's most important trusted confidant.

Bond argued that the King, meanwhile, sees Middleton as the daughter he never had and values her company. With the Princess of Wales also having battled cancer recently, the expert suggests this ‘shared experience’ has brought them closer. Bond opined, “Catherine now has a shared experience with the King that neither wanted, but which has brought them closer than ever... Cancer, the great leveller, is something they have been going through together, and it has made their relationship curiously unique.” The monarch allegedly knows how Middleton is a ‘huge asset’ to the monarchy.

Besides Middleton, Duchess Sophie has also remained a loyal member of the family, stepping up after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the royal family. She, along with Prince Edward, have represented the King on various royal events as he underwent treatment.
