Prince Harry is likely to never experience royal reconciliation thanks to what he said about Kate, Princess of Wales in his memoir.

Prince Harry’s relationship with Catherine, Princess of Wales once viewed as warm and supportive, has seemingly reached a breaking point, following allegations made by the Duke of Sussex in his memoir Spare and other media projects.

The most explosive claims involve a fallout between Meghan Markle and Kate over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress ahead of Harry and Meghan’s 2018 wedding.

According to Harry, the disagreement left Meghan "sobbing on the floor" after Kate allegedly failed to show flexibility or empathy during the tense exchange.

Royal insiders and commentators have described these revelations as a personal attack on Kate, who has long been regarded as a stabilizing force within the royal family.

Arthur Edwards, a seasoned royal photographer, criticized Harry’s decision to air such private matters, saying, "Harry has publicly targeted his sister-in-law in a way that’s not just damaging to her but to the entire family dynamic." Edwards further suggested that these actions have deeply strained Harry’s bond with Prince William, who feels betrayed by the public airing of personal grievances.

In Spare, Harry detailed the infamous disagreement over Charlotte’s ill-fitting dress, suggesting Kate was unwilling to compromise despite Meghan’s distress. The memoir "paints Kate as rigid and overly formal, contrasting Meghan’s laid-back Californian approach," an insider described.

This characterization, however, has sparked backlash. Many royal observers see it as an unfair portrayal of Kate, who was juggling her own pressures at the time, including caring for three young children.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, weighed in on the controversy, stating, "Harry’s decision to drag Kate into this narrative was both unnecessary and hurtful. She’s always been the epitome of grace under pressure, and this incident paints a distorted picture of who she really is."

The fallout has reportedly left Kate deeply hurt. According to insiders, she has maintained her silence on the matter, choosing to focus on her royal duties and family instead of engaging in public spats.

One close source remarked, "Kate is devastated by what Harry has said, but she remains committed to her role as a peacemaker in the family."

Royal expert Katie Nicholl shared about the rift, "I do know that William was very angry that Harry had drawn Kate into it when he felt Kate was blameless throughout. She acted very much as the peacekeeper, she tried to get the brothers back on an even keel, and for Kate to be dragged into this mucky saga was upsetting for her and certainly did infuriate William."

It will probably take much more than mere apologies to end Kate and Harry's estrangement, and in the words of one royal insider, "a near miracle" to bridge the divide between the two brothers.
