Insider Claims Sarah Ferguson May Join Tom Cruise's Scientology Amid Epstein Fallout
Sarah Ferguson's yearning for 'guidance and stability' has reportedly influenced her to explore uncharted territories.
Sarah Ferguson's royal comeback vanished into thin air after her controversial ties to Jeffrey Epstein were exposed. The former Duchess of York, once a familiar face in Tinseltown and rubbing shoulders with celebrities, now finds herself something of a social pariah, struggling to cope with her fallout. Yet one A-lister refuses to leave her side. Sources in the showbiz world claim Ferguson is reportedly leaning on pal Priscilla Presley for support, with Presley influencing her to join Scientology in hopes of finding a little calm amid the chaos.
In an article on his Substack, royal columnist Rob Shuter claimed to have spoken to various insiders who shed light on Ferguson's alleged desire for guidance and peace. They told him that she had contacted Presley after she and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor were banished from Royal Lodge. They revealed, "Fergie has been spending a lot of time with Priscilla. And Priscilla's circle includes a lot of people connected to Scientology." Indeed, Presley is no stranger to the Church of Scientology, having been introduced to the faith in 1970 by actor John Travolta after the death of her husband, and has even raised her daughter within the Church.
Although there have been conflicting reports previously of Presley leaving the organization, her representatives insist that she remains a part of it, and she has since praised her faith's technological advancements. This very praise has allegedly influenced Ferguson to know more about the Church. An insider spilled, "She's [Ferguson] looking for guidance and stability right now. When your life gets turned upside down, you start exploring anything that might help." However, they stressed that the former Duchess has yet to formally join the faith, adding, "Right now she's just listening. But Priscilla is definitely influencing her thinking."
Unsurprisingly, Presley is not the only Hollywood A-lister to be associated with Scientology. One of its biggest proponents remains actor Tom Cruise, who has credited the faith for helping him overcome personal challenges like dyslexia. In a 2016 interview, he gushed, "It's [Scientology] something that has helped me incredibly in my life… without it, I wouldn't be where I am. So it's a beautiful religion. I'm incredibly proud." If Ferguson does make up her mind to join the religion, she may rub shoulders with Cruise, who is no stranger to the members of the royal family.
As for her bond with Presley, recent reports have also claimed that the former Duchess is camping through New York and temporarily staying with friends after being ousted from Royal Lodge. Alongside spending time in Ireland and the UAE, Page Six reports that Ferguson has been bunking with Presley, who is said to be among the few people willing to offer her support. A source alleged, "Everyone's telling her [Ferguson] that now's not a good time. A lot of people actually really like her, but being associated with anyone associated with Epstein just isn't wise right now."
