Harry Announces Podcast After William's Travis Kelce Hit — and One Detail Catches Everyone Off Guard
Prince Harry surprised podcast hosts by introducing himself with his rarely heard royal name, and his cheeky comeback stole the show.
Prince Harry took royal watchers and the hosts by surprise when he said his full name out loud in a teaser for his upcoming appearance on the British comedy podcast Joe Marler Will See You Now. The 41-year-old was asked to introduce himself by host Marler, the former England rugby player. Harry happily plays along, introducing himself with his full name: "Henry Charles Albert David, Duke of Sussex."
The lengthy introduction caught the hosts by surprise, with co-host Jake Bhardwaj teasing Harry, "It's a long one." Meanwhile, Marler looked visibly taken aback. Harry did not miss a beat, shooting back, "Alright, 'Jake,'" as laughter broke out in the studio. Marler, in the teaser, revealed that the full podcast episode is set to drop on Monday, July 13, at 5 p.m. U.K. time. Watch the clip here.
It is not often that Harry uses his full royal name in public, opting instead to go by Harry. For instance, during the St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship in Colorado, in December 2025, the Duke went without his princely title.
Harry's appearance on Joe Marler Will See You Now is just one of several engagements he's taking part in during his much-talked-about trip to the U.K., with events scheduled in both London and Birmingham. The Duke arrived on July 6 for a string of charity engagements, including the one-year countdown celebration for the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
The podcast teaser comes just days after Prince William made a surprise appearance on Travis and Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast. During the chat, the Prince of Wales looked back on meeting the brothers at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in London before joking with Jason about being a father to four daughters. "Congratulations. Having four daughters. I don't know how you do that," William joked as the hosts burst out laughing.
