Zara Tindall Allegedly 'Putting Her Foot Down' With Princess Anne Amid Family Health Crisis

Zara Tindall’s reported concern for Princess Anne may reveal why the famously hardworking royal is facing calls to slow down.

The monarchy’s "hardest-working royal" may soon be forced to ease up on her notoriously grueling schedule. At 75, Princess Anne has consistently topped the list of the busiest working royals, showing zero interest in slowing down. Famous for her straight-talking demeanor, the Princess Royal routinely packs her calendar with multiple daily engagements, earning a reputation for powering through with barely a pause. Behind closed doors, however, it appears her unrelenting pace is causing serious concern.

According to royal sources cited by Woman’s Day, her daughter Zara Tindall is now stepping in and allegedly “putting her foot down" in hopes that her mom will slow down. The source revealed, “Anne might still be working like she’s 25, but her daughter has decided enough is enough. She keeps reminding her mother there’s really no need, at her age, to fill her diary every day.” But reportedly, even after much convincing, Anne has no desire to slow down and will continue to work like her mother, Queen Elizabeth.

Part of Tindall’s concern may also stem from what she and Mike Tindall are dealing with in their own family right now. Just last week, he shared a heartbreaking update about his father Philip’s battle with Parkinson’s disease, admitting he is “not doing great at the moment.”

Speaking to HELLO!, Mike revealed the disease has taken a heavy toll on his father over the past two decades. Philip, who worked as a banker before being diagnosed in 2002, has been living with Parkinson’s for more than 20 years. Opening up about the difficulties, Mike revealed, “Parkinson’s is brutal, and there is no let-up from how it attacks the body and changes people. It has quite honestly left him a shell of what he once was.”

The experience has reportedly left a lasting mark on the former rugby star. The insider said that even though he knew there was no stopping the progressive illness, he still struggles with the feeling that he could have done more to help his father stay as healthy and active as possible. “This has really shaken Zara. She sees what Parkinson’s is doing to Mike’s family, and it’s sparked even more of an urge to keep her mum healthy.” They continued, “She’s been supporting him through the tears and the worry, but it’s also made her look at her own mum and dad with more caution.”

Anne has kept up her trademark pace and completed four royal trips since last September. She is currently preparing for a three-day visit to Greece to mark the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Crete. However, an insider reveals that Zara Tindall hopes this upcoming trip offers her mother more than just a demanding lineup of official duties. "After Anne’s accident in 2024, Zara is hoping her mother has a bit of respite," the source shared. "The air and sea are incredibly reviving."
