Trigger Warning: This article contains themes of suicide that some readers may find distressing.

Prince William and Princess Kate have been married for over a decade, and while they might be posing for countless official photographs through the years, a recent seating goof-up left them amused. During their latest royal outing in Liverpool, the couple found themselves caught in an unexpected game of musical chairs before a group photo. And what more stuck with the onlookers was how William stood his ground, not allowing anyone to be seated between him and Kate.

Recently, the Prince and Princess of Wales were at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium for the launch of William’s new suicide prevention toolkit, On Your Side. The project brings together the sporting world to help people recognize warning signs and feel more confident about supporting someone who may be struggling. The event brought together several familiar faces from the world of sport, including presenter Gabby Logan, former Lioness Jill Scott, Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes, and boxers Campbell Hatton and Tony Bellew.

As expected, all the known faces and guests gathered together for a group photo; however, the seating arrangement did not quite go as planned. Logan was initially seated beside William when the photographer asked her to move to the right. She followed the instructions and took her new place, only to realize she had ended up sitting between William and Kate.

It took everyone a few seconds to react, but the Prince quickly reacted, asking Logan to move further to the right. He told the photographer, “Catherine has to sit in the middle.” Logan swiftly switched her seat, and Kate happily put herself back beside William as the group posed for the photograph.
