Instead of sticking around the U.K. for a few extra days to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's 95th birthday, Prince Harry decided to return to California to be with pregnant wife Meghan Markle and their son, Archie, who turns 2 next month.

Harry had arrived in his native country last week to attend his grandfather Prince Philip's April 17 funeral.

The Daily Mail published photos of a black SUV arriving and departing from LAX's private terminal.

Meghan skipped the funeral due to doctor's orders, as she's currently pregnant with their second child.

Despite his tense relationship with father Prince Charles and brother Prince William, the family was cordial with one another at the funeral ceremony.

While Harry is getting back to normalcy, sources reported that the Queen's birthday celebration will look very different this year due to COVID-19.

To start, the annual Trooping of the Colour parade was canceled. Philip's death, of course, has also put a damper on the occasion.

On her big day, she shared a message through the royal family's social media page.

"I have, on the occasion of my 95th birthday today, received many messages of good wishes, which I very much appreciate," she said. "While as a family we are in a period of great sadness, it has been a comfort to us all to see and to hear the tributes paid to my husband, from those within the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world."

Royal expert Rebecca English claimed plans to mark her 95th birthday "with a new portrait of her are set to be shelved because she is still in the official period of royal mourning for her beloved husband."

"The glaring absence of Prince Philip will be impossible to ignore and the run-up to what should have been a joyous day is set to be overshadowed by speculation about the major rift in her family."
